Enjoying the Autumn Colors

Hiking and Biking

Hiking and biking are also extremely popular here, especially since there are more opportunities to enjoy them here than anywhere else on the Upper Peninsula. Enjoy thousands of miles of trails, tracks and paths throughout the county, or take a stroll around one of the beautiful lakes.

Skiing and Snowboarding

One of the most popular courses in the area is the Homestead, where golfers of all skill levels are welcome. This course has a reputation for being the place that many golfers truly fall in love with the game for the first time. Lessons are available in the spring. Other courses in the area include the Marquette Golf Club and the Northern Michigan University golf course, which is open to the public.
